Blog Assignment Week 3

Since my realization of the importance of junior year in high school I can say I have made some changes that may better change my life. I have worked more seriously rarely slacking in any of my classes, making a great impact on increasing my grades. I am now participating in educational programs outside of school such as SAT prep classes. Also I can now honestly say that I can do what I want in life as long as I set my mind and dedication to it.
I now have been working much more seriously on my assignments. I do all my work, something I didn’t always do before, and I even take opportunities for extra credit to make my grades better than they now are. I believe now that if I want to succeed in life I must work hard and dedicate myself to these ordeals that I currently face.
Based on that statement, I also am now taking measures as to prepare for the SAT by taking preparatory classes prior to taking the test to better my chances at scoring higher than I would normally with my current knowledge of any college standardized test which is that I have no knowledge of them. I also now know that if I set my mind to something I can do it. I am set on the determination to get a 4.0+ GPA this year and so far have 4.2. Of course I am well aware that the year has just begun and I have yet to keep this up to June but I know it is possible because in the past even with what grades I had I have never gone past a 3.8 after the final grade has been passed.
So now honestly I can say I have changed for the better. I am more knowledgeable, persistent, and hardworking than ever before. I have been able to further dedicate myself to my work and hope to keep up as I move on in life.

Equality or Not?

I believe that in education there is equal opportunity for people of all races.
All people are given the chance to free education up to the end of their high
school. Colleges even offer financial aid based on certain races some for Asians,
Latino, African Americans, and others. The true problem is when people don't take
advantage of the opportunities available to them.

I chose this song because it shows my pride in being Filipino.
It sends a message to Filipinos all around the world to not be ashamed of who you are,
and to show everyone you are Filipino and you should be proud of your heritage.

I chose the image of a golf ball because it relaxes me. Playing golf helps me take out stress. It is a very relaxing no pressure sport where points really do not matter. Golf helps me stay sane. Notice that when it is not golf season I am more irrational. I would play golf in 5 feet of snow if I could but that is just not possible. Golf is not just a sport to me or a simple hobby. Golf is my life.

Difference

  • Compared to others I guess my difference is I am loud. Very Loud.
  • I sometimes take jokes so far it gets annoying (or offensive) you decide.
  • I am also very childish, a trait I know i got to get rid of and fast.
  • I am not too serious about certain things
  • I am almost always only serious about education (at times it may seem not so but I am)
  • and I spend most of my time either reminiscing the past or anticipating the future
I don't really know which of these traits make me different or how or why they make me different. But this is who I am and if some people can't live with the fact that I am my own unique person well that is not really my problem.

  • oh and did I forget to say I am blunt and will tell how I feel without considering public opinion of my comments!
